NAIL ADHESIVE FOR FULL COVER/PRESS ON NAILS

          Full Cover Nails or Press On Nails have been my way to enhance my nails. I never hardly ever went to a nail salon. I have always used full cover nails. I think that if you apply them correctly many people will not know you have on false nails unless you say so. I have used them and cut them down so well that they look and feel so natural and many times I have forgotten I had on false nails until one pops off of my fingernail. I do not like the glue that comes with the full cover nails pack or sets. The glue do not adhere on the nails long enough and especially in water they just pop off. I don't like that and then when you try to reapply the nail the glue don't stick and then there is a mess. I use a glue but not the normal nail glue that comes in the pack. The glue I am speaking of is Super Glue. I know many will say," Is it safe?" I heard that it couldn't be as bad if not the same as what is used for acrylic nails. Super Glue has this ingredient called Cyanoacrylate which is the same ingredient used in the acrylic nail glue.

         We all know how cheap super glue is and we know how expensive getting nails done in a salon can be depending on what kind of nails you want and if you want a particular design. I myself prefer to find or purchase nails from a store and trust me there are so many pretty nail designs now that they look like professional nails but you apply the nails yourself. I prefer to buy a 5 or 10 dollar pack of nails and a tube of super glue and apply my nails. What is so great about this is that when the nail pops off you can simply add a little amount of the super glue and the nail is fixed compared to an appointment for the nail tech to fix a nail and then spending 15 dollars to fix a nail. Super Glue is a strong adhesive so your nail should not pop off so quick. I shower, wash my hair, wash dishes, fix my hair with hair cremes, and prepare meals, etc. My nails do not easily come off using Super Glue.I been using Super Glue for years. The super glue is a good adhesive so you do need to be careful as with acrylic nails you can pull your natural nail off really bad if your not careful while the false nail is adhere to the natural nail.

          I want to advise all who reads this blog of mine that you do need to check the super glue you decide to purchase because some super glue products have other chemicals outside of the Cyanoacrylate that is the ingredient used with acrylic nails. We don't want to damage our nails or cause fungus. I like to use full cover nails for a while and then give my nails a break. I don't wear false nails all the time. If you like false nails all the time then I am not sure if this method is good for the natural nails but I also know that acrylic nails isn't good for the natural nail either.It is all up to you and what you think is safe for you. I would strongly advise you to research HOW SAFE IS SUPER GLUE FOR NAIL ADHESIVE PURPOSES? and if you are still not  comfortable then ask a nail tech or a physician. I have used it for years and had no problem but I do give my natural nails a break so I don't consistently wear false nails all the time. The Super Glue is a great bonding glue for nails and all sorts of things. I personally use it every time I like to purchase nails and my natural  nails don't get irritated but if you wear the nails too long just like with acrylic nails your natural nails can get weak, fragile and maybe discolored. You must take care of your natural nails no matter what method you choose.
RESEARCH and find out if you like the alternative and if you think it is safe for you. Once again if your not sure then ask a professional about it or a physician and get advice on how you should use the product as well.
